Scripture Memory
It has been said, “Many people store the Bible on the shelf instead of in their heart.” Matthew 13:19 says, “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”
What makes the difference between superficial and beneficial Scripture memorization? First, you must have a right relationship and fellowship with God through Christ. Second, you must memorize with prayerful meditation.
